Who we are
The Southern Africa Curiosity Cube is a mobile science lab that offers interactive experiments with the goal of increasing access to science education for students aged 8-13. Traveling to Merck sites and partner universities across Southern Africa — including South Africa, Eswatini, Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia, and soon, Zambia in 2026 — the program brings hands-on experiments directly to the next generation of scientists.
Led by dedicated Merck employees and enthusiastic university volunteers, the program inspires curiosity in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields, opening doors to discuss the possibilities of future STEM careers.
